Graphics & Insert-Molding Operations
One of CTC's specialties is the utilization of insert-molding techniques which incorporate:
- Decorative graphics
- Fasteners
- Fixtures
- Metal edges and rails
- Fabrics
- Textiles
- Carpet
- Vinyl
These can be formed into molded parts. This technique saves time and money, because secondary-finishing operations and their associated labor costs can be eliminated.
Although we do all types of insert-molding work, we are best known for our capabilities with “in-mold graphics.” As with other aspects of plastic processing, our success in this area is the result of a patented technology we developed. This process allows us to mold highly detailed multi-color graphics directly into the product's surface on both sides! The results speak for themselves!
Not only is the decorative finish using in-mold graphics far more durable because it's bonded to the part, but it also looks nicer and eliminates otherwise expensive manufacturing steps. It's also important to note that CTC is one of the very few processors anywhere who can produce parts with high-quality in-mold graphics on both sides.
CTC can also provide additional decorating options such as textured finishes. We can even create a wood-grain look--either by using an insert-molded laminate film, or a thin sheet of wood veneer.
